Frequently asked questions

Which supplements do I need if I do strength training?

First, eat well, reach your daily protein and sleep. After that, creatine, with this authorised claim: “Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise.” The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine. A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

What if I run or cycle?

For long sessions or in the heat, the first thing is to stay well hydrated, with water, sodium and carbohydrates. Work out how much with our hydration calculator.

Why does the test ask me about oily fish?

Because it is the main source of EPA and DHA, the omega-3s found in fish. If you hardly eat it, it is easy to fall below the reference intake of 250 mg a day.

Why does it ask my age?

Because creatine has a specific authorised health claim for people over 55 who do strength training. If that applies to you, we show it to you.

Does the test replace a professional?

No. It is general guidance. If you are pregnant, take medication or have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
