Questions about CLA
What is CLA?
It stands for conjugated linoleic acid, a group of forms of linoleic acid. It occurs naturally in milk and in meat from ruminants; ours comes from safflower seed oil standardised to 80%.
What is CLA used for?
It is a widely studied fatty acid and a classic for fat-loss phases, always alongside your diet and your activity. We summarise the research in CLA: what the studies say, and explain it in what CLA is used for.
How do I take it?
Three softgels a day: one with each main meal, with a glass of water. That gives you 2,400 mg of CLA.
Before or after eating?
With meals: one softgel with breakfast, another with lunch and another with dinner. That way you spread it across the day and it is easier not to forget.
How long does a bottle last?
A bottle of 90 softgels lasts 30 days. At €15.80, it works out at €0.53 a day. With the CLA 3-Month Pack you pay €34.90 for three bottles.
Does it contain stimulants?
No. It contains no caffeine, synephrine or any other stimulant: it is a fatty acid in softgels.
Can I take it with L-carnitine?

Can I take it with omega-3?
Yes. They are different fatty acids and you take them the same way, with meals: one softgel of each at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We explain it in CLA and omega-3.
Can women take it?
Yes. Both men and women took part in the studies, and you take it the same way: 3 softgels a day with meals. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, check with your doctor first. You will find the studies in CLA in women.
Does it have side effects?
It is well tolerated. In the longer trials, some people noticed digestive discomfort. We explain it in CLA side effects.
Is it genetically modified?
No. None of its ingredients comes from genetically modified organisms, and it is free from BSE and TSE.
How long can I take it for?
The safety studies go up to 6 months with 3-3.5 g a day, and our 3 softgels provide 2.4 g. If you want to take it for longer, check with your doctor.
Who should not take it?
It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a professional. If you have diabetes, take medication or have any health condition, check with your doctor first.
